We are excited to announce that Peace Hills Insurance Company has partnered with DAS Canada to offer Legal Expense Insurance to specific personal lines and farm policies!
Legal Expense Insurance gives individuals the power to defend or pursue their legal rights in the event of a legal issue.
The policy provides you:
- financial coverage for a variety of legal events,
- empowers you to pursue or defend your legal rights,
- unlimited access to general legal phone advice.
Legal costs include:
- lawyer fees,
- disbursements,
- opponents legal costs (If the case is lost and you are required to pay costs).
The policy does NOT provide coverage for:
- legal issues that began before the effective date of the policy,
- family law,
- contract review,
- Wills and Power of Attorney,
- and pre-incurred costs.
Although there are some exclusions for legal defense, the Legal Advice Helpline provides general legal advice for ALL personal matters. As well, any legal expense insurance claims DO NOT impact your premium or claims-free status on your Peace Hills policy.

Effective December 1, 2017, coverage is included for all homeowner’s, tenants, condo, farm, and mobile home policies through Peace Hills Insurance.
