We would like to take this time to wish all of our clients, friends, family and associates a very Happy New Year 2025!
As in recent years past, 2024 flew by and it’s hard to believe we’re heading into a new year already! This year brought with it more industry changes and challenges, including the big August hailstorm, and like everyone else, we continue to feel the impact of the increased cost of living.
After several years off, the Calgary Motorcycle Show returned early 2024. We attended as a Vendor and experienced the sights and sounds of all things motorcycles for the first time since 2020! The show was smaller than in previous years and the crowd turnout was not as great as we had hoped. For 2025, we will have some of our Team members attend the show as guests, however, we will not be participating as a Vendor with a booth.
The Insurance Brokers Association of Alberta (IBAA) broker convention took place in May in beautiful Banff. Crista and Andrew attended the show and were able to connect with some fellow brokers and insurance company partners! We look forward to attending again this spring and taking part in all that the convention has to offer.
We attended the Cochrane Chamber of Commerce trade show for the third year in a row. It’s always a wonderful way to to meet new people, other local business owners, and to get our name out there to a lot of the folks who have recently made the beautiful town of Cochrane their new home! We continue to sponsor the CochraneNow 91.5 morning show as well. Tune-in to hear our great ads!
We celebrated several anniversaries again this year, the big ones being twenty-six (26) for Crista Costen, seventeen (17) years for both Andrew Shareski and Nirmal Lombsar, fourteen (14) years for Kristel Wilson, thirteen (13) years for Karen Sandeman, eight (8) years for Nivi Uppal, and seven (7) for Dena Chen, Moutaz Elkorashy, and Daniel Egubat. We are so fortunate to have such amazing people as part of the Costen Family!
We attended the annual Charity golf tournament for our designated charity partner, Helping Families Handle Cancer Foundation. 2024 was another successful year with referrals (Thank You) and we are looking forward to sending them a donation at the end of the year. To kick off summer, we held our annual Stampede Breakfast and had an amazing turnout!
We also attending the Cochrane Light Up event in November, sponsoring a fire pit and giving away our 2025 calendars and other great swag! Despite the cold temperatures and snowfall warning earlier in the day, there was a wonderful turnout and a great time was had by everyone who attended.
