We would like to introduce you to one of our long-term friends and clients, Heather Dove from Dove Custom Cleaning Services.
Heather began cleaning houses eighteen (18) years ago. Her neighbour was looking for someone to help around the house, so she began prepping meals, driving her neighbours’ children to appointments, and cleaning and organizing closets and cupboards and maintaining her neighbours’ house. When her marriage ended in divorce a few years later, she needed to find a career that would enable her to both look after her small children and bring in a full time income. After reviewing her situation and already loving what she was doing, she decided to start a residential cleaning business. Heather found that it was hard work with some ups and downs, and a lot of trial and error, but eventually her business was successful.
Heather originally fell in love with residential cleaning when she discovered the sense of accomplishment it gave her. There is a beginning, a process, and an end result. Many of her long term clients have expressed how emotionally calming and uplifting it is to come home to a clean and organized house. She even ensures that all of her clients’ linens and towels are done for the week so that they have more free time to enjoy their family and friends.
After sixteen (16) years in the business, Heather decided that it was time to expand into her business into cleaning show homes, builders and offices. Although much different than residential cleaning, she is finding this added component to be both rewarding and worth the challenge. She is continuing on her new career path, looking forward to providing her services to many new offices and show homes in and around Calgary.
