We are excited to announce that AVIVA Insurance Company is now offering Service Line Coverage for their Homeowner’s policies!
Service Line Coverage consists of the additional services and coverage to the following:
- Sewer/septic line
- Water main
- Electrical
- Telecommunications
- Geothermal plumbing
A Service Line Failure is defined as a leak, break, tear, rupture, collapse, or arcing of a covered underground service line.
The Service Line Coverage endorsement will pay for direct physical damage to your covered underground service lines that is a result of a service line failure. The service line must be located on your premises, owned by you, or you are legally liable for it’s repair or replacement.
What is Covered/Not Covered?
The Service Line Coverage endorsement also includes coverage for your outdoor property (which is different than some of the third party Service Line policies, which require you to cover these costs). The endorsement will provide coverage for outdoor trees, plants and shrubs, walkways and driveways that are damaged as a result of a Service Line Failure.
The Service Line Coverage endorsement will automatically be added to all of our AVIVA homeowner’s policy renewals from May 21, 2018 and on.
