Have you heard the good news? Digital pink cards are now legal in Alberta!
As of 11:00AM August 12, 2019, electronic Financial Responsibility Cards (also known as Pink Cards) became legal in Alberta. This change has been a long time coming!
Here is a great news article from Global News outlining the change:
Financial Responsibility Cards are required to have the following features:
- electronic or paper
- must contained required information (including name, address, insurer, vehicle details, and effective date) in black text
- must be pink (unless temporary)
- if paper, must contain the provincial and territorial shields in the background
- not valid unless the referenced automobile policy is in force
